Krystal Marie, also known as DJ K Marie, originally began her career in music writing and recording with "Poet Name Life," known for touring, producing and DJing for "The Black Eyed Peas." Part of a female vocal group she realized she enjoyed working behind the booth rather than inside it. In 2009 K met her mentor DJ Ruckus, and toured as his apprentice the greater part of that year. In 2010 she booked her first event at "Avenue, New York," soon after began her first residency at "Nobu, West Hollywood."
Bringing strength in numbers of beautiful women and creatives, K Marie quickly became a sought after lady Dj. "Girls Love Dj's, developed in to her slogan. Serving as the curator of sound for "Frederick's of Hollywood," photo shoots, Coachella parties for "Guess" she continued on the path of any hollywood based DJ taking on nightclub residencies like the VIP room at "Trousdale Lounge, Smoke and Mirrors" at The Standard Hotel and birthday parties for celebrities like Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama .
When Lavo Restaurant and nightclub opened in New York K was offered residency and made her move across country to take on new musical adventures. During this time she curated sound for events for New York Fashion Week, The Box, Steven Tyler, and The James Hotel. Since she has toured with "The Jonas Brothers," performed on "American Idol" with 'Janelle Monae' and contracted jobs with Nike Portland.
K Marie currrently resides in Portland Oregon. She is an open format DJ and focuses on curating private events, charities and LGBTQ parties.
